GOVERNMENT SERVICES FUND
The Government Services Fund, also known as the Governor's Discretionary Fund, provides governors in each state a relatively small but important allocation from the Recovery Act.
The Government Services Fund gives governors discretion to allocate funds for public safety and other government services. The fund represents 18.2 percent of New Mexico's State Fiscal Stabilization Fund.
New Mexico's Government Services Fund totals $57,945,507. These funds will create jobs, support important state services and help New Mexicans impacted by the economic downturn.
